This 3700 square foot house began as an indistinguished circa 1960 house which was half demolished and transformed into an open relaxed seried of living zones. It accomodates the desire to permit maximum southern glass exposure while providing privacy from the street close to the west. Abundant trellising to the south and southwest provide an ample outdoor space and continue the sense of shelter evoked by the broad low roofs. It features radiant in-floor heating, passive solar heating, abundant natural ventilation, and non-toxic and natural materials. |
