Granger House |
The Granger House residence and carriage house were designed in the Italianate style and now serve as a historic house museum. The Granger House Museum suffered flood-related damage during the summer of 1993, including settlement of one corner of the house whose foundations rested on an abandoned cistern. The work was completed in three phases: initial assessment of the damage sustained; detailed assessment of existing conditions and the preparation of construction documentation suitable for use by contractors (1994); and construction phase consulting (1995). The work was performed in close coordination with the National Trust for Historic Preservation Flood Response Program and the State Historic Society of Iowa. |
