Brucemore - Cedar Rapids, Iowa One of Iowa's most prestigious nineteenth century private residences. Listed on the National Register, Brucemore house museum and grounds are now open to the public. It is a hub for cultural, philanthropic, and educational activities for Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa. |
Wingspread - Racine, Wisconsin Frank LLoyd Wright designed Wingspread for the family of H.F. Johnson, Jr. who lived there from 1939 to 1959. In 1959, Mr. Johnson established the Johnson Foundation, designating Wingspread as its educational conference facility. Wingspread has been listed as a National Landmark Property. |
Great Workroom - Johnson Wax Company Racine, Wisconsin The Johnson Wax Administration Building, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is one of the greatest architectural landmarks of the twentieth century. Prairie Architects provides on-going consultaions on preservation maintenance for the building. |
First Unitarian Meeting House - Madison, Wisconsin Frank Lloyd Wright;s First Unitarian Meeting house has become one of the Twentieth Century America's most influential churches. Prairie Architects, as consultants to Flad & Associates (Structural Engineers) of Madison, Wisconsin, was the preservation consultant for the 1994 roof restoration, as well as a study of ways to retrofit a historically apropriate air conditioning system into the sanctuary. |
G.C. Stockman House - Mason City, Iowa In 1992 the River City Society for Historical Preservation decided to save the historic Frank Lloyd Wright - designed G.C. Stockman House, which had been slated for demolition. Prairie Architects acted as restoration consultants fo rthe interior restoration and interpretation. |
